Summer is here so this can only mean one thing, new fashion, new looks and new trends. Hot this year is bold new colors and even transparencies. Ripped jeans seem to be making a resurrection from the dead and Greco-Roman dresses seem to be all the rave. The main thing you want to focus on is color, color, and color. No more stuffy grays and beige, black or brown. Burst onto the scene with a fresh vivid look that separates you from the pack. Here are some tips to keep you up to date:

Greco-Roman Dress: No we’re not talking togas here anymore. Draping one shoulder dresses and intricate pleating that flows is the name of the game here. Designers pull inspiration from Aphrodite inspired Greek trends and even gladiator skirts.

Transparent Fashion: This has been very hot on the red carpet lately, transparency. It offers a way to look classy but retain that hint of sexy sultry. Go all out by layering transparencies for subtlety and taste.

Dress your Boyfriend: Seems like going upscale is the thing for boyfriends this year. No more Ed-Hardy, I repeat, NO MORE ED-HARDY. I am tired of seeing his line of clothing plastered over every MTV reality celeb out there. Keep him classy with clean lines and even a tie. Go blazers, button-ups and even bowties if you are feeling fancy.

The 70’s: Uh oh, it’s back. The 70’s are making a gargantuan splash this year with retro prints, off-shoulder tops and even flared – yes, flared jeans. If you are the adventurous type who doesn’t mind taking leaps of faith in the fashion world then this is definitely your calling. Remember not to go too overboard, this isn’t Studio 54 after all.
